The gardens and paths are beautiful. Don't miss the gateway garden from July-September when the flowers are in full bloom. The inside conservatory is pretty, and it is free one afternoon a week to non-members.

It is a great place to picnic, the staff is always nice, and it is free to go to the outdoor gardens and paths. Who can beat that?

This is a great place to go and relax and spend some time alone or with the one you love! Also I almost got married here and the lady who was in charge of planning was really nice and helpful. I would recommend The University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens to anyone as a neat place to go just as a day activity or as a great place to get married.
