We went to Cafe' Zola to celebrate a LATE Mother's Day today...all 8 of us...and we are regular customers... My sister got a salad...ate most of it...got to the bottom of the plate, and there was a HUGE, FAT, CATERPILLAR wiggling around her salad...She ran outside and almost threw up. When we privately told the woman owner...she blamed it ...
I have visited 2 times for dinner and my radar was alerted after my first trip but I gave them a second chance ... which I now regret and will not return again. The food was not too bad (but overpriced for the quality of what they served). While my wait staff was excellent, the hostess (the slutty brunette) needs some training. I honestly have ...
The food was great! I got Turkish eggs and they were awesom! warm feta and spinach with two sunny side up eggs were the best and most interesting breakfast i had in a long time. the waitress was very helpful too, fast and not overbearing. also the best latte I've had since Italy.
They serve small amount of food for a big price, nothing special, poor presentation, food is plain. Waiters work slow there, but polite. And also they overcharged me.
I was just checking out the recent reviews of Cafe Zola, just to check up on my former place of employment. To answer the question about the short, mean woman who owns it, I will attest that whatever uncomfortable feeling about the treatment of the staff has been noticed is real, real, real. I have never witnessed such atrocious behavior from a ...
love the atmosphere and delicious food. all well worth the price. omlettes are huge and delish. dinner entres are the best in thhe metropolitan area. consistently the best.
Something is going on in this place, and I just can't put finger on it. Underneath the she-she atmosphere lies something else, not so nice. It's overpriced, for sure, and I have witnessed what I feel can only be described as mistreatment of staff by a very short, foreign, small woman with a nasty attitude. That really turned me off!!
Definitely some of the worst service in Ann Arbor, but the food is good. If they could improve the service, get some better chairs, the place would be almost perfect!
by far the best food, service and atmosphere in ann arbor. . .the mushroom pasta is to die for, as is the salmon dish, and the mussles with sausage. . .just wonderful!
Terrible service, food is ok-ish. Kids are not welcome, owner does not care about her customers. Dont go, don't waste your time or money. Many other places are better for brunch than this, including Angelos, Zingermans, etc. For dinner, go across the street to The Earle. Much better food and similar prices.
