I felt that we wasted our money here. We went to the Witch Museum last week. It announced itself as the most visited witch museum in Salem, which probably has to with location and the impressive old building. The presentation itself was a real disappointment. I expected a more detailed and nuanced presentation, I guess, but found the very loud and ...

Poor management

I stood in line for 35 minutes just to get tickets only to find out that a small sign at the door read "Sold Out" for all shows for the next 5 hours ! Management needs to assign an employee to notify people at the end of the line.
The business is not a museum and does not teach you anything more about the Salem Witch Trials than you knew before you walked in the door. I cannot believe the local authorities allow this scam to continue operating.
To call this place a museum is a joke! The first room lights up stupid displays, one at a time, with bad voice-over acting playing the parts. Even the 5 years olds were bored. Then you go into a room where a guide goes over signs taped to the wall trying to tell you what a witch is.....and THAT'S IT FOLKS....you are then led into the gift shop - which is the largest room in the "museum." I expected much more.
I enjoyed my visit until we came to the part about witch hunts throughout history, and our guide made a comment about the witch hunt being pursued today against Sarah Palin. This tourist attraction is not the place for her to preach her political views. Very inappropriate.

Excellent

Would love to go back anytime. Great not just your typical museum.
This is not a museum at all. You sit in the dark in this big room with a bunch of other people and listen to a recording of this guy basically tell you what is already commonly known about the witch trials and follow a spotlight that lights up maniquins that are dressed up in period dress. It is not worth your time!

SAVE YOUR MONEY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/07
You begin your tour in a church like room where a "tour guide" comes out and quickly gives you the background story of Salem. You then walk down into a basement where mannequins (that looked like they were in a department store fire) are positioned to look like different settings from 1692. The tour is given in a hurry. While you are ...

Ran Out of the Room Laughing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/07
You know when you are in church and its a really bad time to laugh but you can't hold it in? That's what happened to us just after watching the manequin version of The Crucible. We were then shuffeled into a room with another manequin constructed of paper machet. After comparing Samantha from B'witched to Joan of Arc our tour guide ...
