Worth the visit

Plymouth Rock is worth the visit if you're in the area-it will only take a few minutes but the view of the Bay is gorgeous and the downtown area of Plymouth is nice. I have taken my kids to see it just because I know it's something they'll learn about in school.

What happened to the rock?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/07
The rock was not all that exciting. The structure looks nice at night all lit up. We didn't go on the Mayflower because it was just a replica. The museums were closed for the season.

It's just a rock!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/06
The significance of this rock is clear - it marks the spot where the Pilgrim Fathers first arrived in the New World, back in 1620. But ultimately, it's just a rock and there's nothing to seriously appreciate about! Move on to the Mayflower.
great place to keep it in that portico. it gave the "rock" a special place. signs r needed to be posted more so one can find out about these historical events.
