Well my aunt and uncle live there like right across the street from the man at the wheel i go here every year and its such a sight to look out the window and see him standing there overlooking the ocean. there is a beautiful walk way going around the statue and along the side of the ocean where you can see the waves crash up against the rocks. hope you all like this

The woman at the wheel (me) had a bit of trouble locating the man at the wheel (if you are coming from the main highway...drive into the "wharf" area and make a RIGHT...not a left!). They have signs marking where it is...up to a certain point and then you are left in a lurch.
It was WELL worth it. The man overlooks a beautiful seaport with a moving tribute to all those lost at sea surrounding him.
