The Taney house is a beautifully preserved 18-19th century home located in downtown Frederick. The docents are full of fun and interesting stories and the house creaks and groans as you climb the worn stairs to the top floor. It is rumoured to be haunted, but we were there in the daytime and missed seeing any ghosts. The attached slave quarters give a good idea of what life was like in a town home.
