Freshly made cheese and other goodiesFresh cheese, and if you're lucky, fresh curds! Cheese is made locally, many varieties to choose from. Can buy in bricks or even "seconds". Bring a cooler so you can take lots home with you to enjoy later.

State of Maine Cheese Co.While on a bus trip to Bar Harbor we stopped at the State of Maine Cheese Co. and I found it to be a very nice local attraction. Both owners were on hand to greet us and then gave us a tour of how they made the cheese. Very nice and informative.
