October golf at its finestI was travelling through Maine on business and chanced across Fox Ridge because I was staying in Auburn (this was the course nearest to the Inn at which I was staying). I went on a Friday and made a point of returning on the weekend. A must play...Fox Ridge is the kind of course you fall in love with on the first visit. Our group of four just happened upon the courses' web site -- www.foxridgegolfclub.com -- and made it a point to travel there from out stay in Wells.

Off the Beaten Path GemThis is a must for anyone doing a golf tour of Maine or on vacation in central to southern Maine. I was returning from a trip to Sugar Loaf and Belgrade Lakes and found our 3rd course, Fox Ridge, to be the best of the 3. While it doesn't have the unusual views or boulder lined fairways, it is a traditional golf course that is well designed and challenging.
