I love everything about Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary. I go there at least once a month, usually once a week. It is beautiful and removed from the city. The trails, while not handicap accessible, are well maintained by the Stanton Bird Club. You can see Mt Washington from it's highest points. There are benches and restful vistas, beautiful meadows, history and wildlife. It is a peaceful and serene place. You'll want to get lost there.

This is a great place to go whether you are taking children to learn about plant and animal life or an adult looking to get some exercise with a view.
I come here all the time with my dog (you must keep them on a leash). Thee are plenty of different trails to take depending on how long you would like to stay and what difficulty you prefer.
