By far, the worst Chinese fare I have had in years.
Had it not been takeout, I would have sent it back to the kitchen. From the soggy eggrolls and thin ,watery sweet and sour sauce to the tough 3 inch scallions in the lo mein it was overpriced and so unsatisfactory we were compelled to dispose of 80% of the order. ( the dog wouldn't eat it)

I have always liked the China Rose, when I lived in Freeport the restaurant was in a different location and parking was a bit easier but no matter it's still the same good food for a very good value.

Service is always a bit better in the Fall and Winter when the wait staff has time to catch their breath but that doesn't bother me ...

I will now only go to the brunswick China Rose due to the one time my family ordered take out. We wanted sweet n sour chicken and it ended up to have been deep fryed with seafood and my dad is alergic to seafood and ended up in the er that night. the cooks need to watch what they are doing are something bad will happen to someone else

I think you ahve to travel a lot to truly know what you like. Everytime we are in Maine we have to go to China Rose. It is simply one of our favorite places in the world. Yep been around it twice and still look forward to dinner in Freeport.

Family run business, food quality is great. The buffet always contains a sample of everything. Always a must to stop in when traveling to Freeport, Maine.

We love China Rose. They have a great buffet every day, the food is fresh and the veggies are crisp. The owners and staff are very nice. They also have take out. The regular menu is filled with very original options. All the food is made with NO MSG and is made to order if you have special dietary restrictions. Try it. It's worth the stop. It's not a tourist trap. It's where the locals hang out. They have a full bar, too.

The decor is nice and relazing; the hostess is very cordial and the waitress I always get I would love to marry her and take her home because she gives such good service and her boss told me he would like to get rid of her also so he could get some compliments himself. The plumber.

Very good selection. Battered foods are crisp and not greasy. Rice is not overcooked and is very flavorful. Restaurant is clean and service is very gracious.
