Just walking the grounds of this place is amazing.
The currant owner told the story of the Burrow family in a way that you envisioned it.
It was like stepping back in time!

Seclusion

If you're looking for a quiet weekend getaway, this is the place. Though it's a little off the beaten path, it's well worth the trip. The guest cottages offer a view of the plantation house that you'll see only on postcards. The rooms are clean, spacious, and period decorated. The key word here is seclusion. It's so ...

Delightful Stay!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/25/07
LOVED IT!!! We stayed at the bed-and-breakfast and it was the nicest stay of our trip. The rooms are across a pond from the plantation home. They're new, nice, large, and extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the dining room was great. Will definately be back to stay here again.
It was truly a wonderful, comfortable stay. It was nice to ...

Beautiful Place!
By kmcvi, 02/04/07
It looked and sounded good on the brochure and on the internet.....and.... it did not disappoint. The scene from the front porch of the bed and breakfast room was gorgeous! It looked over the reflecting pond onto the house. The rooms were well furnished and nice. The overseers were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the house was beautiful! You won't be disappointed!

Loved It

The plantation was nice, the tour was good, but the bed and breakfast was great. You had the "bed & breakfast" feel, with motel privacy. The folks who run the place were as nice and helpful as you could ask for. And breakfast was a "real" breakfast, and you are sure to be full when you're finished.
The whole experience was well worth every dollar paid.

THIS IS MY IDEA OF FAIRYTALE PLANTATION
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/14/06
I LOVED THE TOUR OF THE HOUSE THE VERY BEST, THE OWNER WHO HAS LIVED THEIR MOST OF HIS LIFE IS THE NICEST PERSON I'VE EVER MET. HE WAS SO HELPFUL EVEN GIVING US DIRECTIONS TO SOME SCENIC VIEWS NO ONE ELSE KNOWS OF. BUT IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP INSIDE A PLANTATION THIS ONE IS NOT FOR YOU. ALTHOUGH IT HAD A VERY NICE HOTEL LIKE PLACE TO STAY BEHIND ...

One of the Best

This is what most people think of when they think plantation! Absolutely stunning. The owner invites visitiors in to the parlor, sits them on the sofa, and tells of his dream to restore this house to exactly the state it was in before it burned to the ground in 1960. Yes, the house is not original, except for the massive columns, but it ...

Can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/05
My husband and I have toured many plantations in Louisiana. This is by far the best historical tour you will find. We also stayed at the bed and breakfast. It is beautiful. Breakfast is served in the dining room and was wonderful.
