Recently my companies sales force and I were in Louisiana for a convention and with the use of a coupon tracked down Columbia Cafe. It was a $5.00 taxi ride from downtown and as it was 1/2 price wine night we needed one to get back to the Hilton. I was impressed to find a New Orleans style restaurant in Shreveport. It is a good find for anyone who happens upon this wireless gem.
My family and I started dining at Columbia Cafe shortly after they opened around five years ago. In these five years I have seen ups and downs, good food and better food, wait staff that has been there only one day and wait staff perfect for many years! Columbia Cafe is one of the most interesting restaurants in Shreveport. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious, many times unusual, dishes, but my favorite is the heavenly veggie omelet. (Which I've never actually seen on the menu, but they'll whip it up if you ask for it.) Scrumptious. I really can't wait to go back.
Food is too weird - had a raspberry salad with dressing that was sour and the quiche was way over cooked - too weird and too expensive for the quality of food
