  • Perfection!
    By Pasta Lover, 01/30/08
Olive Street Bistro has been my favorite restaurant for both lunch and dinner for the past year. The food is outstanding, service beyond compare and Fernando is the most gracious host you will find anywhere. Love the music, the ambiance and the prices are so very fair. And there is outside seating -which is so hard to find in the Shreveport ...

  • Very Disappointing!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/07
Having read such rave reviews by other people, on 18 December 2007 I decided to have lunch at the Olive Street Bistro. I have eaten in literally hundreds of Italian restaurants around the world, and I love Italian cuisine. However, ITALIAN THIS IS NOT! And the prices were much too expensive for the quality of the food. The house salad dressing ...

  • Pleasant happy hour & antipasto
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/07
My friend NJ Vera and me LA Ginny stopped by on her visit from the NJ-Manhattan area. We loved the ambience and the piano player played everything she requested, which were mainly show tunes. Reasonable drink prices, cozy, friendly atmosphere, and the singing pizza man!

  • We will definitely return!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/07
The service was prompt and courteous. The food and coctails were magnificent. The decor was authentically quaint Italian and very tasteful. It was the perfect quiet, candlelit atmosphere for a romantic dinner for two. This may very wekk become our "secret getaway place". We will definitely return!

  • Best Italian Period
    By Ethan M, 05/24/07
It is unfortunate that it has been several years since I've been able to eat at this restaurant. I used to live in Vivian, and would drive nearly an hour each way just to eat at this restaurant, and sometimes all by myself. The thing that I enjoyed about this restaurant was that my favorite Italian dish, Eggplant Parmesan, was not on the ...

  • Amazing
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/06
I drove an hour and a half to try this restaurant. I'm not well versed in the high end restaurants, but this was one of the best dining expiriances ever. Very romantic, great food, very fair prices and plenty of food on your plate. Also, the owners / opperators are the nicest people you will ever meet. I will definately make the drive again many more times. I highly recomend this location.

  • Lunch & Cocktails
    By toby_rip, 11/17/06
Cute little place with great sense of family history. Everyone greets you and thanks you for coming. We only had lunch there but would go back. My girlfriend had the pear-atini she loved it. Pizzas are large for personal pizzas so splitting would be fine for a light lunch with an appetizer. Did I mention the pizzas are cooked in a wood fired brick oven? Great ambiance and a great staff makes this a must go to for a nice lunch..

  • Somewhat overrated
    By beckyec, 10/05/06
The atmosphere was grand as was the service. It's rather expensive, but that would have been fine had the food been superb. Friends had the pasta and loved it; we had the tuna, and it had a very strong fishy taste. (I know it's a fish, but it usually doesn't taste like it.) Stick with the pastas.
