To bad they turned this beautiful mansion into a rest area. Should have left it in it's original way. Would be a fabulous place to see decorated in the day of it's time and to learn the history of it through guided tours.

It's a good place to stop and use the super clean toilets. The outside is lovely. Other than that, there is nothing to do here. Spend about 10 minutes here tops..

you will enjoy your stop There. Some
people even say there are some Friendly
Ghosts there although we did not see

I visit whitehaven every time i go into kentucky , or leave kentucky . I make a special point of it. It reminds me of a time in history of romance and beauty . The Whitehaven Mansion in Paducah is absolutely beautiful. It is a gorgeous backdrop for pictures, and I also believe it would make a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony and reception. Not only is it used a a rest area, its also has a museum of Vice President Alben Barkley memorabilia. There brocure shows that the mansion has a very rich history, like most of Paducah. I found it a very interesting place, contrary to most disgusting rest areas you fond along interstates.
