My husband & I are frequent visitors to Wichita & have seen these gardens in every season and we never fail to be impressed. I have dragged my husband to gardens all over and Botanica still stands out. It's not overly large so you don't wear yourself out (nice feature for taking your elderly mother-in-law!). It's just beautiful. Loved the butterflies.

During June the Butterfly gardens are lovely, before June you'll mainly find pansy's there. Walking through the wooded areas is my family's favorite thing to do. The ponds are gorgeous and the shakespearean garden is wonderful depending on the flowers in bloom and the time of year.
The lights that are set up during the christmas season are getting better every year.
