We really enjoyed the zoo. Yes, it is small, but it is well maintained. We saw all the animals you normally see at a zoo. My boys 11 and 8 had a great time across the street at the park. A beautiful park. We had a picnic lunch after our visit to the zoo. We also visited the capital in the afternoon. I would go again with my family for a day trip to Topeka from Kansas City.

I have been going to the zoo since i was a child (born and raised here) and have been taking my children here all of their lives also. The zoo is small, but very clean and well maintained. done in 20 minutes, yeah more like an hour-2 hours. Must have been flying through. Anyways, it is a smaller zoo, and yes you can see the animals. At least we don't hear people bitching about walking everywhere like we do at the KC Zoo. Its good for you so shutup.

This zoo is terrible. There are hardly any animals here. And the ones they have and never in their exhibits or hard to see. We wont even go into the rain forest because of the smell. We have to hold our breath when we go in cus it stinks so bad! They should clean that up. I know those animals don't stink that bad. big upset for me and my child. I'd rather take my child to the park and let him play then walk around that boring zoo

The Topeka zoo tries. They have opened several exhibits lately, with little success. The big cat exhibit they just put in is sad. They left tiny spaces for the tigers to pace in. Kind of reminds me of the old school zoos where the animals were in concrete cubes.

I took my three grandchildren last week to the zoo. I appreciated the wagons to rent that helped with the two little ones. We were there all morning and the kids absolutely loved it. The baby Giraffe was a big hit. They can't wait to go back and we made some lovely memories. This is a delightful zoo!

i took my 2 yr old and 8 yr old to the zoo this last week end and i was very unhappy. there was very little to see it took us less then 1 hr to see everything that was there. we had more fun at the park across the street. i don't think i will ever go back unless you get more animals.

We attended the Topeka Zoo with a group of about 15 young children. We allowed 1 1/2 hours to tour the zoo. The children did not want to leave. I was especially pleased with the wahing facilities near the petting zoo! We are returning soon, this time taking big brother and a few more friends. I highly reccomend the zoo for families of all ages!

My grand daughter and I have been coming to the zoo in Topeka since she was 3yr old. We really enjoy it each and every time. It's size is perfect for small children, and the animals are always showing off for the kids. We love to feed the ducks and watch the staff feed the hippos and elephants.
