admittedly I am not a bingo person. But Queen of Bingo has the distinction of being in my book a non-theater piece, a feeble attempt to capture the allure of bingo. As a radio play it would have worked much better. As a staged performance, it was not worth a penny out of the hefty $ 21 fee for a ticket. I hope that LCT will select its shows more carefully in the future. For me Bingo was the last Bingo.

The Lawrence Community Theatre is definitely worth visiting. I took in my first show because a co-worker raved about the theatre. Once I arrived, I was hooked. Lawrence Community Theatre delivers professional-quality entertainment in a uniquely Lawrence venue. Located in a renovated church, the theatre has a "thrust" stage surrounded on three sides by seating.
