  • Service Needs Work
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/07
This was our first time at The Lodge. Our reservation was for 5:30pm. My husband and I prefer to dine early to beat the crowds to enjoy the quiet atmosphere to talk. We arrived at 5:20pm; valet was obviously not there yet. We and another group could not find any clear directions about where to park. Someone who worked at The Lodge happen to ...

  • Good Food but "your mileage may vary"
    By Gifford, 11/08/06
They begin you off with a cold cut plate of mixed triangle shaped meats and cheese. Then they serve you bread and soft pretzels. The soft pretzels were a pleasant change from ordinary bread. But no butter knife? I ordered a 20oz Bone in Rib Eye ($42) and my date ordered the Veal Chop ($40), both medium rare. The side dishes were sauteed ...

  • Very good steak and great service
    By pd_vu, 07/31/06
I went here this past weekend and very much enjoyed it. The wait staff was super friendly and very attentive. The Cajun ribeye I had was fantastic. The sides were very good. Some of the best Mac and Cheese I've ever had. Wine selection was good. Fois Gras appetizer was very average. Everything else was great.

  • Its on our list for great fish!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/06
The food was very tasty, but the fish was awesome! The service was slow but not the "slow in fine dining" slow to get service. We went with another couple and they enjoyed it as well. The portions are just right. The wine list needs some help unless your okay with spending $80 bucks on a "average" bottle, but you could BYO. We will return!

  • stop talking about it
    By joeh, 04/01/06
The service was very good, friendly and easy going, not like the normal snobby bevelry hills attitude. The steak was small and didnt taste that good. The wine list was......they didnt have OPUS 1 or R. Craig from Napa Valley. Not worth half the money I spent on macaroni and cheese and a steak.

  • Good service, but not much else
    By JasonG, 02/13/06
We went to The Lodge in early February, 2006, after hearing so much about the place. We probably won't go back. The decor has to be among some of the worst I've seen in a newer restaurant in years. It is just tacky. Whoever thought it was a good idea to try to put a rustic, lodge-like veneer over what was a modern, angular interior? ...
