The $th street elevator, as it is known by locals, is a must experience, It is the shortest and steepest railroad in the U.S.
I have been going there since I was a kid. Even though I no longer live in Dubuque, I still make a point to take a ride every time I come home to Visit.

At first we weren't amused with the actual cable cars--the "seats" we uncomfortable and it looks like it needs to be repaired. However, after reaching the top and seeing the view it was worth it. It's just a neat, unique, sight see.
