Always open, just be sure you've got a cart. It's a long walk with some pretty steep valleys and long par 5's. Pretty dry on the back 9, and wide open. I've played a few rounds and counted less than 20 on the grass.
Small putting green by pro shop, friendly inside, easy to give and go. It's a pretty good deal for the money, with the operative phrase "for the money".
