  • Paradise!
    By Beth R, 08/09/07
This is the second year in a row my husband & I have taken our two kids here & it truly is a paradise! We really love it & it's only 2 hours from home! The one & only difference there is between this & a Florida beach is there are no palm trees. Beautiful & clean! We will definitely be going back for years to come!!!

  • Mount Baldy is Moving!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/16/07
News Flash--Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore has closed off the steep southern slope of Mt. Baldy with a fence. I understand that the closure should help preserve the dune. Those of us who have been climbing up and down the slope are hastening the dune's movement southward. But there is some GREAT news. A very nice, wooded trail west of the ...

  • Wonderful Trip
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/07
It was a wonderful trip. My boyfriend and I drove up from Indiana. The dunes are very relaxing to hike. There is a nice walking path up Mount Baldy. The beach has restroom facilities and a refreshment stand with Blue Moon ice cream. That would be our recommendation. Get a scoop of Blue Moon!

  • Indiana Sand Dunes
    By Earnie, 07/16/06
This is one of the most beautiful places in America. At night u can sit on the beach of Lake Michigan and stare across at Chicago, which looks like gems sticking out of the water. It will never leave your mind.

  • Two Steps Forward and One Step Back
    By Peggy, 08/09/05
I've been to Mt. Baldy three summers in a row, and it never gets old! It truly is like taking two steps forward and one step back when you're climbing up this huge sand dune, but that's part of the fun! ~We were just there in July, and we caught the most beautiful sunset from the top of the dune. It was breathtaking! You could even see ...

Are you kidding? This place is paradise for a day or a few hours. It's as clean as when I went here as a kid 45 years ago and when I took my kids 15 years ago. I live 45 minutes a way near Chicago and go "to the dunes" most every week during the summer.
