The beer is very good and rotates, but keeps the favorites on hand. I have been here dozens of times during the past decade and the quality remains strong. As with any place in this area, it can get crowded with waits for tables and service during the weekend and at night.

Mickey Finn's - Libertyville, IL
By Sylestia, 01/19/07
Mickey Finn's is excellent. Between my friends and I, I think we've sampled a majority of the menu, from burgers to steaks to the shepards pie (my friends say it's the BEST), to the salmon and we've never been unsatisfied with the food. They run monthly specials and some specials may only be available to order during that month. If ...

not very friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/06
I went there the Sat. before July 4th, not many people at the bar, and the bartenders didn't seem interested in my business. I was there alone, just for a burger & beer. As soon as I was finished with my food the bartender brought over my check without asking if I wanted anything else. Guess they didn't want any more of my money, and it ...

Non Smoking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/06
Good pub food, burgers are awesome! Lots of great specialty beers, the hefe weizen in the summer is my favorite. The bar upstairs is now non smoking. I think it's open only Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It's sooooooooooo nice to be able to drink in smoke free atmosphere. Finally! Also, good live music without the ruffneck crowd (no offense ruffnecks).

Bad Beer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/05
Some of the worst brew pub swill you'll ever choke down - - all varieties have this strange, strong, soapy taste. Menu somewhat overpriced, service is slow, and clientele straight out of the yuppie yearbook.

What a great place to meet friends!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/05
This old-time brick walled brew-pub is simply a great place to socialize, eat good food, and drink an absolutely terrific assortment of beer brewed on premises.
The food can best be described as upscale pub food and is excellent and varied. Almost anytime you arrive, the place will be loaded with a interesting mix of familes, dating couples, ...

Great place for All!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/18/05
This is a great place to meet friends or have an after work gathering. There is a nice bar on the first floor, then a huge bar upstairs, which is more casual. There is also a restaurant that in early evening seems to be filled with lots of young families and later on is filled with groups of couples or singles. Great pub food, portions are huge. ...

Finn's has been better
By nick p, 01/28/05
New ownership....nice tv's but service has slid. Waited at the bar for over 10 mins. last time I was there and couldn't get served. Bartender was too busy chit-chatting with regulars. I had to walk out.

Mickey Finn's Rocks!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/05
This is the type of place where you can go when you have any type of occasion or friends in town. It's a restaurant downstairs, then features bands on the weekend upstairs! Check it out. Good times
