Not that many years ago, this was a pretty happening mall! It was no Woodfield, but it had plenty of shops and a nice foodcourt. I think there was even a scene from a holiday episode of ER filmed here (nothing dramatic, characters chatting while Christmas shopping or something).

There is absolutely no reason to visit the Charlestown Mall. The very few stores that remain have limited assortments and service levels are poor. The only bright spot is Von Maur. You have to wonder why they stay. The food court is abysmal. Food quality poor and variety almost non existant.

The place is dead, no one goes there and the woman manager who heads the place sucks!

Don't even bother going to this mall, except to see a movie - the stores are all leaving, it's like an old west ghost town nowadays. Even the mall directories are so outdated - half the stores listed are no where to be found. It's been said that the latest owner is planning on making it into a strip mall.

If you want good shopping, go to Geneva Commons. If you want OK shopping and a movie theater, go to Charlestown. The mall's been going downhill for years, it seems like the only thing keeping it alive is the movie theater. It's never really busy anymore except on big movie nights.

it is the best place to go they have all of my favorite stores and great food AND a movie theater !!!!!! what more can you ask for????? it's the best!!!
