Scovill Zoo and the children's museum are well worth the trip. They are both very clean, and have a helpful and caring staff. The zoo has a free day each week and both places have great websites. our family enjoyed it. i have 2 little girls who are into animals so it was great for them. on a tight budget being a single mother and on unemployment, it seem like disney world. i appreciated the price that it was appealing and had a little extra for a snack. when money and transportation get better, we will certainly be back.

I was afraid when I took my children to Scovill, that it wouldn't be the same experience as when I was a child. That perhaps though my eyes, when I was a child, that it just SEEMED great.

I hacve recently traveled to decatur and i took my kids to the the scovill zoo and the childrens musaem. they had a blast. I have been there before when i was a kid and i loved it when i went back. Also if you are looking for a fast fun place to eat visit taco bell on Pershing road.. they have a nice and freindly staff.. an excellent inviroment equals good service.

This is a great zoo. It is also growing every day. They have a petting zoo also filled with goats, a minature pony named Bobo, rabbits, pigs, and much more!

It is a nice children's zoo and good for a family checking out Decatur. It's no San Diego Zoo, but it has monkeys, parrots, flamingos, cheetahs, and many other exotic animals and a pleseant train ride. Two thumbs up.
