This is a briefly amusing drive among tall banyan trees labelled with the names of famous visitors who "planted" them. The drive is fairly dull, but the park at the end of the drive, with the bamboo forest, moon bridge, rock gardens, etc. is totally worth a stroll around - get out of the car and walk!

Wonderful Banyan trees, planted by famous and not so famous people of the 1920's and 1930's, such as Babe Ruth, Bobby Jones. Oceanfront and borders a beautiful park. Picnic, fishing, swimming at Coconut Island, great walks, near Hilo, main hotels, and airport. Cruise ships enter and depart Hilo nearby.

I wasn't really impressed... the trees are nice, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to see it. Parking can be a problem in the area, too.
