WOW is the only word I can think of to explain. My family was there for 5 nights and didn't get to do everything we wanted to do. The lighthouse is awesome. The view is outstanding. St Simons has this hometown feel about it right away. The huge trees are breathe taking. Go and see for your self. The beaches are uncrowded and clean.

My family and I visited the lighthouse while on vacation. I love anything historical and I love Lighthouses so this was a great place for us to go. The employees were wonderful and very helpful and ready to answer any questions. You shouldn't pass up seeing the Lighthouse and museum if you visit the island.

My husband and I visited the lighthouse during our trip to St. Simons Island last year, and we both thought it was fascinating and marvelous! There's a little gift shop for those of us who like to get a guidebook or postcards from places we've visited, and there are many displays that depict and explain the history of the lighthouse. The view from the top is magnificent and great for taking pictures. I must-see if you're in the area!
