i stay on jekyll every year and every year we go to summer waves it is awesome for my whole family ages 10- 31 it is clean it is nice the rides are great yes it is smaller than white waters or florida amusement parks but it is on an island and i have never waited in line more than two or three minutes and we always stay all day it is a must go if you stay on jekyll which is another awesome place for family vacation!

We were skeptical about taking our kids here after reading some of the horrible reviews, but we gave it a chance because Splash in the Boro water park is so much smaller with less entertainment. I read some of these reviews and I must disagree. First of all this is not Florida's theme parks. Summer Waves is located on Jekyll Island and the location is excellent if you are a local parent and can't take your kids away for the summer. This establishment is a complete joke. My family and I were staying the weekend on St. Simons and took our school aged children to the park.
