The visit to Maclay Gardens was a wonderful way to spend a morning, so peaceful and gorgeous. The garden incorporates Florida's native plants with exotic botanicals to create a serene environment and can be seen within two hours at a leisurely pace.

Maclay Gardens is an excellent place to visit if you want to get lost in nature for awhile. They have a trail where you can jog, walk, or ride your bike. The flowers in the Spring/Summer are amazing. The price is only about $3.00 to get in, I believe. That's cheaper than going to see a movie, you can get a tan and soak up some Vitamin D, ...

Worth a day trip to enjoy the garden when it is blooming. We went in February when the camellias were showing themselves and spent 4 hours walking and looking at the blooms. It is a well kept garden and quiet. You can truly enjoy nature. Can't wait to see the azaleas blooming! The park rangers are very pleasant.
