Honestly, After reading reviews and talking to friends, I expected this to be extremely hokey. But we were very entertained and interested in everything this park had to offer. Our tour started off in the Planetarium, which is a very small planetarium with a presentation on how early explorers like Columbus and de Leon used the stars to navigate ...
This park was wonderful, wonderful history to learn, and breathtaking exhibits. The 15 acres of land and the wild birds are wonderful. The navigation exibit is a must. We return and can't wait to go back. Also you get to drink water from the actual Fountain of Youth. Wonderful, wonderful, visit.
This historically rich area is a must see because there is many historical points within the site, also there is many interesting exhibits on the site such as a indian burial ground with the skeletons still there, you can also try the water from the actual fountain of youth, and another neat thing is there are peacocks and squirrels that eat right out of your hand which makes a great pic

I really liked this place. My husband and I visited here on our vacation and learned tons of history. The planetarium was especially good. I don't think this place needs any upgrades contrary to other reviews. That's what makes this place so appealing. You can stroll through and almost feel as if you had stepped back in time.
Well you might meet a Pirite or even an Indian while you walk the Beautiful grounds. You walk with Peacocks & other small animals. See how our for FATHERS maped out their way with the Stars.Drink from the well, you just might leave a little younger than you were when you arrived. The price is reasonable and it's a great place for kids. They even allow you to bring you dog... They are pet freindly.
It is true that some upgrades would help this place out. This is especially so for the planetarium show. The staff were all very friendly and enthusiastic. We were one of the first tours of the day, so I guess enthusiasm wanes as the day goes on. Definitely stop here if for history than nothing else.

This place was amazing!!! The Planetarium was very cool. If you taste the water, you might not like it beacause it is mostly sulphur. My friends liked the water but you might not. You should really go there because it is fun and it is educational for kids like me. I relly enjoyed it there.

Very important part of Saint Augustine's history!

The experience was very relaxing and informative. I think people feel the need to be "entertained" too much in society. If you love history and want to learn about Florida's past, you must visit! Just standing on the grounds that we have all read in history books is somewhat exciting.

it was fun but it taste awful. i am going back one day. i loved the peeps they were nice to us. i wished i never left i cant remember the name of the fort but i went there to. i am going back A.S.A.P. next time i am going to ride in one of the cariges. thank you Cheyanne
We went even after reading the negative reviews just because visiting the fountain is one of the things you "have" to do in St. Augustine. It was over-priced (IMHO) and the planetarium show was the best snooze we had the whole trip. The grounds were very nice, the best part and may have been redone since some of the earlier reviews. I tasted the water but my husband didn't (he's not one to "have" to do anything!)
