My sister and I and a few others have been going to this place for years. We went back last year and had a great time. The largest, coldest most beautiful springs I have ever seen. We always take our time and make it a day with plenty of stops. I recommend this trip to everyone I know who enjoys the outdoors. We always go during the hottest months because the water is so cold.
Went to on a day adventure with my Brother and Mother to this fabulous creek. Words can't describe the beauty! We were so fortunate to have been taken by a friend who lives on this creek with so much knowledge of the history etc....We plan to come back many times in the future!!
You'll hear very little civilized noise out here. And, on the right day you can feel completely alone. The water is crystal clear and ice cold, even in the summer. This creek supplies our drinking water. So, if you visit, take everything you bring in there back out with you. Enjoy!!
We had th best time, but be warned... if you get caught in a thunderstorm, there is no where to stop for cover. It was beautiful when we arrived and through most of the trip. Beautiful clear, cold spring water and you can see all the way to the bottom, which in most places is not deep. If you can stand ice cold water, it's great for swimming ...

long trip

This was the best thing we did on our vacation but be warned, you better be fit, bring lots of food and drinks and be ready to paddle for 7 miles! Absolute beauty! 1 or 2 houses he whole trips so you feel like you are in the wilderness. The cleanest most clear water and he springs will take your breathe away.
This is a beautiful excursion for the outdoor lovers. For around 35 dollars for a canoe for the day...you can have a lot of fun and a lot of memories! We have gone several times and here are some tips we have learned:
1. there is a small state owned park about 1/3 of the way down the river complete with bathrooms/picnic tables and a ...
The river was quite quiet from other canoes trips I've done. It is away - a bit away from all the noise of PCB. Saw aligator gar that were a good 3 feet or more long and then I get home and find out the river is one of the best bass fishing locations in America... The area, the springs, the rock formations are so beautiful. the mix of blue, ...

Clear, cold water, excellent current!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/07
I used to live in Panama City Beach and while there tried this livery and loved it! Recently, I was able to take my wife and sister down the creek again. They loved the cold, clear water and steady current flow. Take my advice and don't "barrel down" the river, but take your time and go with the flow and take note of the native ...
What a wonderful way to spend a day. A large group from my church went togetgherg, so there were all ages and all skill levels and still everyone had a great time. Sure there was the occasional hang up on a brach or tip of a canoe, but it was all fun. Great places to swim and picnic along the way. I do recommend taking along plenty to drink and ...

huck finn experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/07
the whole trip is like a huck finn canoe ride out of a Walt Disney movie. refreshing springs are frequent on the trip and the creek banks are primitive save a few private retreats that dot the banks along the way. the folks who own these small retreats are friendly and there are home made markers along the way that indicate how much ...
