I've been to the M.O.E.C. two times now and I love it. You learn a lot, you only pay 1 dollar, and then you can donate money to them so they can keep manatees from extinction. It's a great place, very nice workers and the gift shop is fun!

Great Educational Trip!

My husband and I visited the center in March. We were very excited to spot a manatee swimming by the center. We were also told we had just missed a mother and her calf swim past. The center is a fun and educational place to visit. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful too. Next time we will be sure to bring the kids to visit.
The funny thing about this place is that all the manatees are plastic. The only way to see a real one is from the observation deck as one could pass by to the warm waters of the power plant. Totally by chance.... However, there are many other living animals in aquariums inside the center. There is an educational video and some hands on exhibits. Only a $1 donation. Great gift shop.

Great Place to Visit!

Our family absolutly loved this place! It was very educational for the kids & adults as well. There is a fantastic Vanishing Mermaid Gift Shop that you can buy all things Manatee and other items as well. We were there in June & although it is rare we did get to see a Manatee. We were very close but did go to the 2nd story observatory & could see it alot better. This was one of our very favorite places that we visited while in Florida.
