The original home of the Merrick family, purchased sight unseen in 1899, formerly the Gregory Homestead. The house was upgraded from a small wooden structure to a majestic oolite rock Classical Revival home in 1906. The back country cabin came with two acres of guavas, which were juiced to make jelly, a local delicacy.
