We just started taking our 9 yr old for guitar lessons. He'd never played before and has now taken only about 4 lessons. Ms. Carol is teaching him to read music as well as play the guitar. She tailors the lessons to fit his music preferences (Greenday, Matchbox 20).
He's doing quite well after only 4 lessons and can play the bass to a few songs.
Ms. Carol is a wonderful teacher and very reasonable.
You won't be disappointed.
