  • Great store
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/30/08
I absolutely love Byler's and so does my family. With the way that times are now, and how everything is so expensive, you can't beat the prices of Byler's! Where else can you go and spend only 50 bucks and get almost everything you need for about 2 weeks worth of groceries, including some lunch meats! Or where could you get a 20 ...

  • Sells expired food!!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 11/19/07
I first thought I was getting great values until my kids got sick!!! They routinely sell items that they classify as overstock but are in fact expired. The scary part is that some items don't even have a clear expiration date. That's what happened to me and my family. I was able to verify from the manufacturer that that the cans I bought from Byler's were over 2 years old. My kids vomited for a day!!!!

  • Do GO

This store is great! It has so much food, even lots of ordinary groceries, most at discounted prices. They make and or package alot of their own food and those prices are good too.
They have alot of non food items too like cookware, hand made things good for gifts, useful things.
Horses and buggys are parked outside, not your everyday market. It's worth the trip.

  • Best Prices Around
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 11/29/04
While taking some back roads to Dover we came across Byler's Country Store. We stopped in and were amazed to find so many groceries at such great prices. There are wonderful handmade goods comprising of half the store which is a must see for travelers. For the practical shopper the grocery prices are unbelievable.

  • Living History

A piece of history, the small town general store. With both Amish and "English" shopping there it is a very relaxing experience. Don't miss the BBQ ham sandwiches!

My wife and traveled to Dover on business recently and had some free time one early evening and after only a few short minutes out of town we came across Byler's. What a neat, rural surprise so close to the city. Bought two pounds of very tasty melt in your mouth Baby Swiss Cheese. Also local produce, very good selection of ...
