While I do greatly appreciate the compliments, it should be noted that I (Yulia) am not the owner of The Rink. The Rink is (presently) owned by the City of Norwich.
In regards to the comments related to dirty bathrooms and general disrepair, all comments / concerns should be directed to Jim, the manager, or the staff at the Box Office. Nothing will change unless people speak up.
The Norwich Figure skating club is trying very hard to get parents and skaters involved with fundraisors so club members can go see proffesional skating shows as a club, have awards banquets, purchase jackets, ect.... The rink was very dirty, the bathrooms were not cleaned and the bleachers were dirty and appeared to not have been cleaned in a long time, there was a railing that was broken in the bleachers, There was noone around to report these dangerous conditions to.
The Norwich Ice Rink is nice to have in Norwich for us residents and to get out of towners in. The only problem our rink has, being able to get enough ice time for the Norwich Ice Skating Club because the darn hockey takes up to much ice time and we don't get enough time.
