Skip the BirdsMystic Aquarium is great. Reasonable admission fee and fantastic exhibits (check out the bat cave). But skip the "Birds of the Amazon" exhibit ($2 extra admission each). The birds won't come near you, even for the food. And the four Mystic employees standing around talking to each other weren't much help either, even when approached.OVERALL

Mystic Aquarium - ExcellentMystic Aquarium is a great time for kids & adults. Loved the outside Beluga whales & seals the best. We were lucky and got to see the feeding of the seals. Liked that you could get your ticket stamped and come back the next day! We had 4 adults & all loved it. And we loved watching little kids get excited by what they saw....Would highly recommend.OVERALL

extremely disappointedI have been to a few aquariums, and this one was an utter disappointment. Its small the exhibits are small and there is little diversity of species. AND its very expensive. Wonderful!Mystic aquarium is simply so much fun with fantastic water animals and interactive things to do with the animals! During the summer months is the best time to visit because that is when all the exhibits are up and running! I think anyone that isnt scared of fish would love Mystic aquarium!OVERALLAtmosphereValue

Cute but PriceyThe aquarium is cute but very expensive. We went easter weekend. It was a fairly decent day weather wise, but hard with a 4 month old and 2 year old as the most advertised exhibits are outside. The snack bar has tables inside and out. InterestingWe went there on a beautiful sunny winter morning. We had a group of 12 and so, were entitled for the group rate ($14.50 per head) with in-advance reservation. We visited Beluga and Sea Lion areas during the feeding time and that was terrific !! make sure to visit them during feeding times. Rest of the "exhibits" (errrr... I mean life) is ...2 of 2 Yahoo! Total rip-offAdmission to the Aquarium is very expensive and to add insult to injury, the most heavily advertised exhibits, such as the whale and penguin programs, require an additional hefty fee. Aquarium?Seemed overpriced for the amount of features. I have visited other aquariums at various places in TN, FL & GA. These provide much more site seeing than Mystic. Simply Marvelous!!!!!!There is absolute nothing to dislike about Mystic Aquarium. The place is very well organized, clean, safe and there are many attractions.
The food and the gift shops are very nice and the workers are very helpful and very polite.
Mystic Aquarium is not only an attraction place, it is also an educational place where a person can learn a lot.

Nice place for the familyWe have been to several aquariums around the United States. We enjoyed the one in Mystic, but thought it was a bit pricey for what you saw. The touch pool and the Sting rsy tank were great. My son and mother were able to pet two and they came right up to them and stuck their heads out of the water to be petted. The whales and penguins were great. If you go in the summer be sure to bring sunscreen and lots of water to drink!OVERALLAtmosphereValue
