Loved this aquarium! We have been too many other zoos and aquariums in the past and Mystic was one of the top! A lot to see inside and out. A word to the wise though; stop and watch the animals. We saw many people just walk right by the 2000 pound sea lion! He is one of I think 3 in the world in zoos/aquariums. Its not as big as a Sea World but its a nice size for Mystic, CT.

I went on a school function to Mystic Aquarium. The overall cleanliness was pretty good, except for the Sea Lion Show. PU! It is also really sad. There are all of these poor, helpless animals that are extracted unwillingly from the wild. These animals are poked and prodded with needles and hands. How unfair and claustrophobic! Plus, the exhibits ...
For the first reviewer, it is "paid" not "payed". (groan) Anyway, the aquarium was great! I would recommend it to anyone, no matter what your age. Young and old alike will find it fascinating!

I thought the Mystic Aquarium wasn't over priced for what you got. I was just bummed out about the Titanic Exibit. I felt that the I saw the same thing from there web site as I saw there. I expected remake and not a bunch of T.V's.
Mystic Aquarium is great. Reasonable admission fee and fantastic exhibits (check out the bat cave). But skip the "Birds of the Amazon" exhibit ($2 extra admission each). The birds won't come near you, even for the food. And the four Mystic employees standing around talking to each other weren't much help either, even when approached.
Mystic Aquarium is a great time for kids & adults. Loved the outside Beluga whales & seals the best. We were lucky and got to see the feeding of the seals. Liked that you could get your ticket stamped and come back the next day! We had 4 adults & all loved it. And we loved watching little kids get excited by what they saw....Would highly recommend.

extremely disappointed

I have been to a few aquariums, and this one was an utter disappointment. Its small the exhibits are small and there is little diversity of species. AND its very expensive. The 3-D movie was about 3 mins long and sucked. Save your money and venture into NY
Mystic aquarium is simply so much fun with fantastic water animals and interactive things to do with the animals! During the summer months is the best time to visit because that is when all the exhibits are up and running! I think anyone that isnt scared of fish would love Mystic aquarium!
The aquarium is cute but very expensive. We went easter weekend. It was a fairly decent day weather wise, but hard with a 4 month old and 2 year old as the most advertised exhibits are outside. The snack bar has tables inside and out. The inside tables are so close together you can hardly sit at them without feeling like you are shoulder to ...
