  • A living Museum
    By David Rountree, 05/09/08
I have a daughter named Mystic. As a fan of tall ships and all ships with canvas power, Mystic is a dream come true for me. Excellent B&Bs great food, and great history. I love to wander around for hours and get lost in the past. It is a great experience for anyone, from 3 to 99.

    By Natasha Rochelle, 12/14/07
Love this place. If ever you are passing thru Connecticut, please plan a day to visit this place. This is an old seaport village with seafood restaurants, old ships that you can climb on board, a general store were you can buy soaps from a barrel an old fashioned candy and soda, take a horse and carriage ride around the grounds, or just stroll thru ...

  • third visit
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/14/07
We have been to Mystic twice and are planning our third trip. I spent up to my teen years in Ct then moved out west. Everytime I come home for a visit I like to go to Mystic. Its a quaint, small colonial seaport town with wonderful country shops and a seaport atmosphere. I love it! I am bringing another new friend to visit.

  • Great day out
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/24/07
The Seaport offers a diverse mix of activities for a wide range of ages. We enjoyed the shows and the children's museum, as well as touring the old buildings. It can get pricey, especially if you throw in the river cruise, a carriage ride, lunch and snacks. There is space to picnic and we didn't do any of the add-ons and still had a great time. We did splurge on the ice cream though, which was well worth the cost.

  • Loved It!

I think the best time to visit would be in the summer. Everyone can enjoy it. There is so much to see and do. It was so interesting to see what things looked like back in those days. Everyone that works there does a great job on making it fun and a great learning expierence. My favorite part was boarding the ship. I've never been on anything like that. It was truley an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back this August!

    By ralagrois69, 07/16/07
During our recent trip to Mystic for my counsin's wedding we spent a day at the Seaport and the Aquarium and we loved both of them. There is something for anyone of any age here at the Mystic Seaport. You do not want to miss out on this one!

  • Good for one time
    By rags_in73, 07/01/07
I liked the atmosphere.. good place for someone who loves surfing/boating. They have a good collection of historical things starting from 1800. One can buy the boats too.

It could be a one day trip. One can relax and enjoy the nature along sea shore..This is not a beach.

Take the ticket from Visitor information center as you can save $2 ...
