  • memorable and sentimental

My husband and I went there for three days for part of our honeymoon. Everything about Mystic was inviting and relaxing and nothing else but warm. We went there in mid Oct. when it rained in the east coast for 8 straight days, but the rain and small brisk chill made the stay even more romantic. We did everything we could in 3 days, the Seaport ...

  • Good for one time
    By rags_in73, 07/01/07
I liked the atmosphere.. good place for someone who loves surfing/boating. They have a good collection of historical things starting from 1800. One can buy the boats too.

It could be a one day trip. One can relax and enjoy the nature along sea shore..This is not a beach.

Take the ticket from Visitor information center as you can save $2 ...

  • Mystic Seaport, CT
    By Dana, 10/22/06
The wind was whipping up from the sea; it was a lovely autumn afternoon. You can walk the old ships & houses. There are lovely English gardens & a sweet Greenmansville Church. The galleries have fabulous paintings of ships & the frothing ocean. The wharf is a nice, reasonable place to eat, & the lobster bisque is yummy. There are ...

  • A must see in CT
    By tray80dogg, 06/30/06
THE STAFF AND PEOPLE ARE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND LOVE TO TALK!!!!!
This was my favorite place. Very educational! The only thing was trying to entertain a six year old through out the museum buildings was kind of tough. They did have one building just for kids. And another building had some play things in it. For adults it is a great place to visit ...

  • Loved this place!!
    By Natasha Rochelle, 12/14/07
Love this place. If ever you are passing thru Connecticut, please plan a day to visit this place. This is an old seaport village with seafood restaurants, old ships that you can climb on board, a general store were you can buy soaps from a barrel an old fashioned candy and soda, take a horse and carriage ride around the grounds, or just stroll thru ...

  • third visit
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/14/07
We have been to Mystic twice and are planning our third trip. I spent up to my teen years in Ct then moved out west. Everytime I come home for a visit I like to go to Mystic. Its a quaint, small colonial seaport town with wonderful country shops and a seaport atmosphere. I love it! I am bringing another new friend to visit.

  • Great day out
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/24/07
The Seaport offers a diverse mix of activities for a wide range of ages. We enjoyed the shows and the children's museum, as well as touring the old buildings. It can get pricey, especially if you throw in the river cruise, a carriage ride, lunch and snacks. There is space to picnic and we didn't do any of the add-ons and still had a great time. We did splurge on the ice cream though, which was well worth the cost.

  • Loved It!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/14/07
I think the best time to visit would be in the summer. Everyone can enjoy it. There is so much to see and do. It was so interesting to see what things looked like back in those days. Everyone that works there does a great job on making it fun and a great learning expierence. My favorite part was boarding the ship. I've never been on anything like that. It was truley an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back this August!

  • I love the seaport!
This is a great place to visit. My husband and I spent two days in a row there seeing and doing everything. I got some great pictures of beautiful Mystic. Going for 2 days is well worth the admission price, which I thought was fair. A great place especially for adults!!
