wonderful historic gardens!!the gardens and historic grounds are tremendous!!! color theme gardens: blue garden, pink and red garden, victorian texture gardens , meadow gardens a nice compliment to the larger elizabeth park rose gardens and the nearby hill stead gardens in farmington the round zinnia garden was loaded with yellow finches and monarch butterflies !!Was this review helpful? Come she how Harriet lived in Hartford!I enjoyed learning how Harriet Beecher Stowe assumed a new role for women as a writer. With her novel Uncle Tom's Cabin, she convinced Northerners about the evils of slavery. I saw how she lived in Hartford after she became famous.
