I loved this place very much, it was a good biography of Mark Twain and his family. There is so much you could know about a famous person through their house! :)

Literary and Historical Shrine
By John The Bear, 09/08/05
Anyone interested in American Literature owes it to him/herself to visit this wonderful house. This is where many of Twain's most famous books were written, largely in the pilot-house shaped pool room on the third floor. The brick architecture is pretty nice too, though the interior has the usual Victorian darkness. Tour guide on our trip ...

Not good to bring children or teenagers to
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/05/04
Being a teenager, I thought this was soooo boring. However it seemed like other adults liked it, so if you are by yourself without any children then it would be worthwhile for you. But if you do have kids with you, save them and you the trouble by not going. I lost my attention after the first room. But it should definitely be considered when traveling to Hartford as a "Thing to do".
