Definitely drive up Fall River Road, which is a one-way maintained road that offers an 11-mile drive up to the top; then you drive back down to Estes via Trailridge Road. It's scenic, but not scary and in forest most of the way. We have traveled to Rocky Mountain National Park for 30+ years and we never tire of this drive. There is a ...
The so called "frequent visitors" actually live in this park and many of them do not like to be disturbed, so be aware of where you are and what you are doing.

We lived in Denver for a few years and everytime we had compnay from out of town we took them to the park. Everyone loved it. We are planning a trip this spring. We can't wait!!

This place is heaven on earth. Do not miss. It is inexpensive - $7.00/day or $20.00/week. The wildlife and the mountains should not be missed. Support our National Parks.
Estes is a favorite Colorado destination. Always so much to see and do. No matter what season you go, you will experience true wildlife adventure. No where can you find more breath-taking scenery.
Take your family or take yourself, but spend at least one day in Estes Park! It will be a day you remember the rest of your life.
This is a place I have always wanted to go I was thilled to get to go to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It was beauiful but yet kinda like one of those thins I don't care to ever do again... The Smokey Mountains I have never gotten tired of but the Rocky's was nice to see once... Everyone said that it took a short amount of time to go ...
