This is a very nice place it visit. The ride itself up to mesa verde is an enjoyable ride. Just dont get to close to the edge of the road, no gaurd rails in some places. Stayed inside the park at the hotel (every room has a view) near the visitor center so that I could see the ruins late and early in the day while there are less people and not so hot. Cost is reasonable, about $30 more than staying outside the park. Was there the w/e AFTER Labor day w/e to avoid big crowds. Still way too busy - bus loads. Perhaps ...
