  • This is the place to go
    By pwralan4852, 03/16/09
It was my first time there, It is a favorite place of my niece who lives in CA. We had a great time and came home with two boxes of our favorite wines. The people doing the pouring where extremely freindly and the one older guy that was pouring for us was really funny. He introduced us to his son who also works there. Well be going back again ...

  • Great Fun

    V. Sattui was gorgeous. The wine was great and they had a great cheese selection. There 2005 merlot is my favorite wine. You better go in person because your only other option is to buy V. Sattui online.

  • It's just too crowded
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/08/08
I visited this winery with some friends in 2007, and it was alright. It has a good tasting room and of course a big selection of wines.

However, the summer crowds were unbearable. I plan on finding a less crowded winery at which to enjoy an afternoon when I return.

  • Best experience in Napa
    By Pamela H, 07/17/08
This place was divine! So much so, we went back for a second trip while we were in Napa Valley. The wine was superb, the staff was extremely knowledgeable and courteous, and the grounds, ah, the grounds are heaven. The shop not only sells wine along with the kitschy winery accessories, but they have a full fledged deli/formaggeria where you can buy ...

  • Worst Experience, Terrible shipping and customer service
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/07
I can say how disgusted i am with Sattui, after 1 1/2 months without a delivery, numerous phone calls and broken promises from the shipping department, I cancelled my order. If i ever needed wine again as a gift by a certain date, I WOULD BE SURE NOT NOT NOT TO ORDER FROM SATTUI.

  • Great place to picnic; not enough toilets for women
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/07
The grounds are wonderful, lot of picnic tables among the trees.

The deli and gift shop are a lot of fun to browse, as there are lots of classy and unique items.

When we were there they had a bbq, serving sausages, steak, chicken, pizzas, etc.

Tastings cost $5-10. It's too bad that nearly all Napa Valley wineries now charge when it ...

  • a MUST do
    By abbieheat, 06/18/07
We (my husband and I) LOVED V. Sattui Winery. We did the full picnic/deli experience which was so much fun. We bought fresh deli meat and cheese as well as fresh baked bread and gourmet mustard and a bottle of their wine..and of course some fresh strawberries...sat outside and had a romantic picnic right next to the vineyard :o)

  • Good Food, Ok Wine
So this may not be a popular review but I am not a fan of the wines from V. Sattui...the ones they hold in reserve are nice though. Try to get your server to pour some of the smaller vineyard selections. The food is great, perfect for picking up your picnic supplies or for stopping in for some fresh bread and cheeses to soak up the days wine. My ...

  • On a rainy spring day
    By nancy.gierach, 04/05/07
I saw this winery first and we bought lunch at the deli and ate it in the wine cellar. It was a nice atmosphere and I got some terrific pictures of the winery even though it was a little rainy. This area reminded me of the Black Forest in spring in Europe, especially the back roads of Calistoga, leading to the geyser and the petrified forest.
