the gambles were a wealthy family (of proctor and gamble fame) who used this house as their summer bungalow. tours are offered every hour by a staff composed entirely of volunteers. i've been twice and the tours are very well done, informative, and entertaining. it is such a beautiful house, and not at all ostentatious. the architecture is just ...
