We just finished fall swim instruction, we had also been there most of the summer. My kids have taken lessons at Roberts for the last 3 years and are very fond of the instructors/lifeguards. Great instructors/lifeguards and it is a clean pool with really beautiful surroundings. On foggy mornings, they warm up the pool, so the kids never mind jumping in!

dont bother to go to adult lap swim there. I tried it last week.
the lifeguards let their friends and families in, who crowd the lanes, they let the adults in that need swim lessons and shouldnt be there and their kids, that are way under 18. not sure if they even paid for that swim.
there is nothing 'adult' or 'lap ...

Poorly managed?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/07
My son has taken swimming lessons there. The lessons are pretty lame; a half-hour class includes a lot of waiting for his turn and not a whole lot of real instruction in the first place. They do things like close the pool because a child pooped in it and all classes are cancelled without notice, on a regular basis. Having to pay for parking AND swimming is way too much for a public pool.
Roberts is amazing. I grew up swimming there. There's a no-pay kiddie pool at the park section, also, once inside the main pool grounds, there's a snack bar, grass to lay out on, shade of redwoods, and a pristine pool. Admission was only a dollar ten years ago, but I'm sure it's still reasonable.
