  • Consistently good wine at a great price!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/08
A family ancestor from Italy founded this winery in the early 1900s, so we decided to visit while on a trip to Central California. Brought back a mixed case and have been reordering every couple of months. We love the Cabernet...smooth and, most of all, consistent from bottle to bottle. This is a great value. Of course the Vino de Mocca, as ...

We went there and tried some of the Vino de Mocca--- it was fabulous! We bought a case, and took it back home, and are now out! Time to reorder our favorite!

The case prices are a great value, and the ability to build mixed cases makes it irresistable. The quality of the wines, though still a bit spotty, has improved quite a bit over the last several years. If you haven't been here recently, give it a try. The rustic tasting room is worth a visit just by itself.

  • My Favorite Winery
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
I found out about this place in the Wine Tasting Tent at The Gilroy Garlic Festival. Here I tasted for the first time, their Vino de Mocca-A trully delicious chocolate Port. We have since visited the winery itself many times and always returned home with cases. The folks and the atmosphere of the winery are always welcoming. In fact, I recently ...

  • Vino de Mocca!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/29/07
Small unpretentious place. Wine is OK. HOWEVER.....

They have a dessert wine called Vino de Mocca! My God! There isn't a better dessert wine in the world! Smooth light red-wine flavor like a fine Pinot that develops with a light mocha flavor that floats in like a cool breeze on a hot summer day!

Absolutely wonderful! Pour yourself a glass and sit back and smile. The world is right with Vino de Mocca!

  • Superb wine with great taste
    By Dennis L, 11/15/05
I'm getting as much wine from kirigin cellar as possible before this place gets discovered. The wine is smooth and wonderful, yet it is priced reasonably. All their wine are aged to perfection. All around 2000 and 2001, you normally buy wine that's made a year ago. Just can't get this kind of quality for the price!

Kirigin Cellars is an unpretentious winery located in Santa Clara County. Their wines are smooth, easy to drink and are reasonably priced. What more can I say?
