Like eating a meal from a gifted siblingI first spotted this place while discovering Old Town Eureka, and was intrigued by its looks - Bistro-type, new-ageish, short but enticing posted menu. After reading the (mostly excellent) reviews on this site I knew this was the place for dinner on this one-night stand in Eureka. I wasn't disappointed.

Good but needs workMy wife and I just went to Kate's last night after having read some of the reviews here so I wanted to give our impressions. We were enticed in by a menu that had several interestingly creative items as is common for pacific-rim-inspired places (at least in LA). Third Time's The CharmThis last week we spent 4 days in the Humboldt Bay area (Lost Coast) of California and that meant finding someplace nice to eat. make this a regular stop!this place rocks! great people and even better food! this is an absolute don't miss if you are anywhere close to the area. i plan my annual trip to the area to include at least one visit to this joint. under new ownership and even better than ever!!! don't space this one out... you just gotta go. fun and friendly atmosphere. go and enjoy yourselves. i always do.
