There was free parking to the side which was nice. The price was reasonable. They give you some bread and tell you how to get around the exhibits (directions). The petting zoo was very nice they had momma daddy and baby deer ( which my daughter friggin loved! ). Then some goats and rams and donkey and emu reindeer etc, fun for the family. ( the ...

Gotta go again!!
By brokenbutterfly1511, 03/29/09
We (my husband, 3 children, and myself) LOVED this!! We are definitely going again next time we are in Hot Springs. As far as some of the reviews saying that the animals living quarters aren't the best, I have definitely seen a LOT worse. The animals are well fed and most of them seem pretty happy. The petting zoo was a blast! They give you ...

Absolutely Awful
By katie155, 12/21/08
The animals were in horrible condition. Kept in small cages, concrete floors, no toys to play with, limbs to climb on, way to many alligators for the size of the pool. The large carnivores were in terrible cages and were pacing and fighting the whole time. Even the ducks weren't allowed some freedom, they were in a baby pool size enclosure for ...

This is a horrible place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/05/08
If you truly love animals, this is not a place for you. The animals are in tiny cages. It stinks and overall is just not well kept. I truly wish we had not visited this place or that I had a review to read before going.

Don't miss this one!
By Marlo, 02/20/08
This is a FANTASTIC family outing! Not only did out kids have fun, but the adults did too! You get a tour of the animals, which includes watching the alligators get fed, and you get some bread to feed the deer/goats, and other barn animals.
This is a great value. If you get to Hot Springs in the 'right' time of the year, you can, ...

Educational and Fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/07/07
I love the animals (of course!) and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. The facilities are always clean and you can tell the animals are taken care of. They give you bread to feed the animals with when you go in but they will allow you to bring in apples, bananas, and other approved snacks for them in moderation. I have gone several times ...

Wouldn't go back
By A.D., 10/14/07
We took our six yr old here on our trip and, while I will say seeing the alligators up close was a neat experience, the rest of the place is in need of serious improvement. There are several animals in very poor cages/enclosures including 3 beautiful mt lions in a small concrete-floored cage as well as a white wolf in the same type enclosure. I ...

We go every year
By tammiphil, 04/07/07
I have four children and my sister has three, we have traveled to Hot Springs for eight years and every year we stop by and watch the alligators eat. Our children look forward every year to coming to the Alligator Farm, petting the animals, and watching the feedings. We are planning on going back again this year. I would suggest you find out when the alligator feedings are and make sure to go during that time.

What Is A MerMan?
By JJ, 11/23/06
Loved it. This was our second visit. Deer were fat and tame for the kids. See the gators at feeding time for the best show. This is an old established business and they raise gators for the state so don't be put off by the antiquated surroundings. The mountain lion was great; where else you gonna see one? Be sure to visit the rock shops and ...

Went right back the next day!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/06
We had so much fun at the Arkansas Alligator Farm that we went back a second time before we left town. The animals were well treated and seemed to be content. The petting zoo was lot of fun. I enjoyed the deer the most. The mountain lions were sweet, purring for us, and rubbing their faces on the fence. Watch out for the girl! She tends to ...
