We really enjoyed our trip to Onyx Cave. You need to go with reasonable expectations. It's not Carlsbad Caverns! It is a short self-guided tour with headphones. We liked being able to go at our own pace. The price for the tour was reasonable. If you go you may want to bring jackets. The cave is a cool 57 degrees year-round. It is NOT handicap accessible.

It was OK for the type of visit. Not like those National Parks but very folksy. Says to be the oldest cave to tour in Arkansas so it has lots of history.
I haven't been to the cave since about 1969 when I was a young teen. This time I brought my kids. I remember the cave once we went inside. It is a simple tour and nothing like Carlsbad or Mammoth Cave - but it is home grown and one of the earliest tourist caves in the area.
